What it can support you with
Starting counselling is an empowering step. I see one of my tasks as helping you to feel at ease, providing you with an intentional space set aside to have a feel of how you're doing and where you're heading in your life.
I've worked with people who have experienced various difficulties including,
- Anxiety, panic attacks and unease
- Low self-esteem and self-doubt
- Feeling stuck, sense of no direction
- Being impacted by another's addiction
- Relationship issues
- Sexuality and sexual identity (LGBTQ+)
- Recovering from past wounds
- Grief and loss
I offer both brief and open-ended counselling depending on what might support you best right now. I suggest 6 sessions to start with to give you an idea of what working with me might be like and see whether you feel as though you wish to end or continue.
Various research evidence shows the importance of the connection you feel with your counsellor. Once you contact me we set up an initial session, where you and I have a chance to see what brings you to counselling and explore the possibility of working together.
An initial session costs £50 and there is no obligation to continue.
Each session is fifty minutes long. These are held on a weekly basis at a consistent date and time we agree on.
On-going sessions are £55.
BACP registered counsellor
I’m a professionally trained and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for good practice and I am bound by the Ethical Code of the Gestalt Centre, London. I attend regular clinical supervision and I'm committed to client confidentiality and continuing professional and personal development. I'm also an Associate Member of the UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners (UKAGP).
I can be found on BACP's directory - It's good to talk as well as on Pink Therapy.
I have experience working with people whose difficulties are around their identities as well as with people whose identities are completely incidental to what they wish to seek support for. I'm passionate about seeing people becoming who they are and integrating parts of themselves they previously haven't accepted.
Outside of private practice, I'm currently involved in research.
I work bilingually in English and in Hungarian.
